*raises hand* - every day, only a couple times I've taken the old car so far, mostly to use up the gas in both of them equally

I have an F-150 I "planned" to use as my DD but honestly I end up taking my SS 95% of the time unless it's supposed to hail/snow and I haven't thought twice about it. You'll understand on Tuesday... you'd be sad to leave it if you had another car as a DD

My only word of caution... if there's a *chance* of snow... get a ride. I got caught in a sudden snow once and had to leave the SS in an empty parking lot and call a friend to get picked up, I might as well have had tires made of vasoline in .5" of snow

I put 95 in it (91 & 95 down here) - currently half way through my 3rd tank since picking it up from the dealer, when i've finished my 4th and filled up I'll do the fuse pull.

You never know what dealers put in there...

Would running regular ruin the cars performance? I heard the ls3 takes "any" gas

Yes. The computer will detect the lower octane and drop into the low octane fuel maps to avoid knocking. The V8 should be ran on 91 or higher.

Get a cheap 4x4 for the snow. Same price as snow tires

I drive mine everyday and was very disappointed with the factory tires. I put on a set of the General G-Max AS-03s as well and what a difference they make! The factory tires are completely pointless in the snow as in you can't even move with a dusting. The G-Max is an all season tire and gets much better wet weather traction and I can still grip the road when it gets cold.

That said, I ended up getting a winter beater mostly because a Camaro was never designed to tote skis

It was when I lived in Vegas. Now that I live in San Diego my motorcycle has become my daily.

I don't drive mine daily simply because I have long drives to work, its 91miles one way and 5days a week for now. But since I just got on a project, once everything settles down and is all set up for me I will be able to work from home, then it will be my DD.

Right now I just take it out maybe once or twice a week for a spin and rest of the time I just drive my '03 Stratus or my dad's '09 Pontiac G6.
