any HAM radio operators here?

I was wondering if any of the folks here who've got their Camaros are hams. If you are, have you placed any radio equipment in your Camaro yet? If so, what model(s) and please post pics.

thanks!

Just got my technician license about a week ago, if that counts: KF7LCQ

Haven't even gotten myself a radio at all yet, let alone put anything in the Camaro. =P

My Camaro doesn't fit on a Ham but, I put a Honey Baked on the hood yesterday and it fit!

Have you figured something out yet? I'd like to place a Motorola CM300 mobile into a C5. Picking up the car next week (sweeet) and trying to figure out the best place for it given that I have an 2SSRS with the gauge cluster below the dash. I'm thinking on the passenger side mounted against the center console upward facing. Agree there are no real good options unless you have a remote head unit.

Nope, have not figured anything out. I have pretty much same car. right now I have icom 2200, so, it is little big to mount up.
In my truck I had a Larson 1/4 wave 2 meter antenna and was very impresses with hitting local repeaters. I drilled and mounted it to roof.
My thoughts on the Camaro are this
Take out the XM antenna and mount the Larson under the fin. Then slide the fin over it to where all that is noticed is the whip sticking out from the fin. At least that way it would cover the base of the antenna.
As far as the transeiver, I am still on the fence about this.. Was thinking about researching some of the newer remote units with bluetooth. Icom has one out that has a small head unit.... Would be curious to see if the bluetooth would intergrate with the gm bluetooth. If so, then I would need no mics.
Another thing that concerns me is RFI. in the truck it was no big deal, but, this car has a lot of electronics on it.
My Icom 32w handheld is falling apart, so, need to figure something out soon,
