Buying A Camaro Out of CA Questions?
I am looking to buy a 1LE and found a few out of state. I have talked to my CU and they biggest issue is if the vehicle is CA appoved or 50 state legal.
Has anyone gone through this process of buying out of state? How can the seller verify if the car is built for 50 state legal? |

Every 5th Gen Camaro ever built is 50 state legal from the factory!

You will still need to get a smog inspection to register after you bring it in CA.
AAA is extremely helpful in the registration process. They can do the whole thing (except smog check), including giving you the plates.

You'll have to get it smogged depending on which state it comes out of, and then you'll have to pay registration and that's pretty much it. |

You should be fine. I bought my Dusk Edition 2SS in Houston and drove it back to So Cal. Like others have said, you will need to have it smogged when it gets here because its being registered. So as long as everything is in place for the visual inspection and the computer monitors are ready it will be fine.
