Pros and cons to exhaust wrap?
So I've been thinking of getting my exhaust wrapped. I've been recommended to get DEI titanium wrap. But I've heard exhaust wrap can catch on fire and the wrap can absorb water and making your exhaust rust. I've also been thinking of getting it coated instead, but I don't know where in Orange County, California I can get it done? Any suggestions? I've been quoted 100 bucks to do the wrap which is a good price.

I've done Titanium Wrap & Jet-Hot Coatings.
Titanium Wrap is easy - I have never heard of it catching fire. It will prematurely rust Steel Exhaust Jet-Hot is great - I don't trust other companies that say they can Ceramic Coat |

I've done this to every Camaro I've ever owned.
Watch a few videos get some rubber gloves and do them your self. It's not that hard but an extra set of hands when you get to the ends of a run can help. You can buy stainless straps or use stainless wire. My car can be running and I can touch the heat rap. You touch a header pipe without rap you leave your finger print behind lolol. Header pipes don't seam to last as long. But how long they last also depends on the quality of the headers you use. |

lol I would probably go DEI titanium wrap with the high temperature silicone coating spray to protect my exhaust a little more. Might end up getting it wrapped. The places I've called to get it coated won't take off the exhaust, so it more of a hassle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
