5th Gen ZL1 front end swap
Not a big fan of the ZL1 front end and considering swapping to the 2015 z28 fron clip.
has anyone done it before ? |

I'm sure it's been done but I would advice against it. What year is your ZL1? I do believe they engineered the ZL1 grill work specifically for cooling. The Z/28 has the narrower grille. Not a big fan of the swaps from different years. Always looks like a marriage between to salvage title cars. I like both the 5th Gen and the 6th Gens as designed but of course I'm just injecting my personal preference.

The 5th gen ZL1 was heavily developed with both cooling and aerodynamics in mind, especially the front end.
That is why they didn't update the front of the ZL1 when they did the other Camaros. To replace it with any other model front end would not be advisable in my opinion. |

ariZona28 and HDRDTD are giving you very good sound advise about the aero and cooling affects. In addition to their good advise, I agree with ZMEnow which I know is subjective, the ZL1 looks more aggressive the most distinguishable of all the variants coming down the road to me.
