This thread was a total backfire on the OP. I love it when that happens.

The part that pisses me off the most were the comments about the styling getting old fast. I am not sick of looking at mine yet. I have had it since 5/20/09. I think that the Muskrats are bland.
i dont get the styling thing either. it just came out in 2010. its still 2010. how is it getting old...?

^ because we've been looking at pictures of it for 5 years. They're not the first publication to say that it's already looking dated, which I think it screams 2006 and not 2011

If the camaro's looks are already stale, then I would say that the stang's design is completely old and moldy at this point.

Not to mention they compared the '10 model SS (and V6) to the '11 model GT (and V6 Mustang).

When are we going to see a REAL showdown between the two? I want to see ONE driver who takes both cars for 6 months or what ever time period... learn to drive it, and then really hit the track and road and judge them.
Here's your sign: 2011 Mustang GT is better than the Camaro SS in all performance categories. The Camaro is more comfortable and has a good looking exterior.

Your statement should be considered complimentary to Asian engineers and companies, who had the balls to produce engines that really breathe. Without them, American companies wouldn't even be trying to compete.

In 1967, Ford and Cosworth developed the extremely successful DFV, 4 valve V8. Was it also rice? That engine dominated Formula One from 1969 to 1973.
The rice was trying to catch up - and did. Now that Ford is producing a well engineered 4 valve V8 in mass, all I can say is, it's about time. I've dreamed and waited half my life for production American stuff this cool.

It's pretty funny when people call pushrod engines primative when OHC and DOHC engines are just as old. I am sorry but you can not build a muscle car with out a pushrod engine. That and rear wheel drive is where the definition of a muscle car starts. What's really funny to me is all of these imports and ricers has been running 2.0-2.4L DOHC engines making 200-250 HP for years and you think it is revolutionary that Ford took the same engine doubled the Liters and added 2 more cyclinders. What a technological feat

yeah, because this engine clearly wasn't installed in/used in muscle cars or used during the muscle car era...
