I think its always better not to race. I had a guy on a motorcycle challenge me repeatedly and I declined. I enjoy my car and I don't give a sh!t if someone else is faster. All it takes is one bad decision and life as you know it is over.

well yea like I said Im not a racer I only use my camaro as my DD well I kinda have to use it as my DD since its my only car but point is I mainly use it to get from place to place and its not like I ACTUALLY raced him besides I knew he would chicken out after he heard my engine =p

oh than it was a 2010 and Im sure I'll see him tomorrow for the last time seeing as how Ive seen him everyday this week but tomorrow is my last day of summer school(FINALLY) so Im sure tomorrow is the last time I'll see him and his mustang

Did you guys read the thread today about the 18 yr old kid Naval recruit racing the Cobra, wrecked, severed a leg at the scene, then lost the other leg in the operating room. Passenger also ejected, but only got a scrape on the chip.

Cops are looking for the other race he was racing. Looking at the car, I don't know how either of them are alive..

All I am saying is by 120mph the SS is faster by a margin that is determined by the car, not the driver. Stock vs stock considering all attributes that the two cars have that make them accelerate (gearing, power under the curve, shift points, etc.), the SS was the faster car. This is the only point I was trying to make.

If you look at the GT boards you will see them race on runways from a roll, and you always know after the race who has the faster car. They usually race from 20 to 120. Ather the race no one is changing air pressure or trying different launch techniques to go faster, simply mash the gas and go.

With an M6, the ability of the driver to shift (quickly and at the right rpm) can still make a very significant difference - one way or the other - in a 20 mph to xxx mph roll, so there is still significant driver input.
