If you can wait a week or so, I will have an extra homelink transmitter up for sale.. Just not the cover buttons...

Search www.gmpartsdirect.com for keyword 'garage', or part number 92219508.
Its not cheap - $107.65 plus shipping.

I understand the desire to mod your camaro. I considered the same for my '13 LT vert .. after some research, I found it was going to cost $200plus, with homelink remote and replacement cover with button holes (same as on the higher-end camaros). I wanted to have dual remote control from one unit. I was using two remotes, one for community gate (Linear) and one for garage door (Genie Excelerator). So, I looked into why Homelink was more universal and found it is able to handle a large variety of frequencies and gd openers with rolling codes. I then found what frequencies the Linear gate and Genie used. So, I thought I just need to find something that would handle both, but not costing $200. Several searches later, I found one item that might fit the bill for me. It was a

375LM Liftmaster Chamberlain Universal Remote

I checked the online manual/specs and found it was touted to handle a large variety of openers, switch-type and rolling codes. I'm thinking 'Bingo' .. only $18-20 on the Bay, $35 at HomeDepot. I had to get one to try it. I got one from the Bay and was pleasantly surprised that it was very small, about half the size of my Genie and gate remote. Probably weighs 3-4 oz. I tried it and it worked great. Just what I was looking. Now, I'm thinking I'm a genius, but hey, to each his own ... $20 or $200. It was a no-brainer for me, didn't need to mod my car for what I wanted.
