Apparently? I know most cars have numbers on them but never knew a number and class was a requirement to have on the car.

That's how it is for drag racing. Once your cars are teched, they put a number on your car with your class. Usually in shoe polish. It's put on your windows

Guess putting numbers on cars makes it easier to tell them apart or something lol

So I checked my plugs to see if they needed to be replaced and it's a good thing I did cause I found this:

Good thing I checked that out lol i guess it was just on there enough to not cause many issues but with new wires it feels smoother when idling so I guess they did something. Gonna replace the plugs soon just for S&G's to go with the wires

Has to be on visible on BOTH doors. The shoe polish for drag racing is tower side only and is on the rear quarter window. Also autocross has to put the class you run in on the side of the car next to the numbers.

So.....that's not normal?

That'll probably happen to my plug wires. I cant even get the wires off the plug.

Sorry, I really don't mean to come off that way. I just was pretty frustrated at the whole situation and really wish it was like the drag strip.

It's tought to get those metal insulators to move, they act like they hold the wire on the plug more.

I'm changing my plugs when I get my headers. Oh another update on those, 2-3 weeks lead time on the headers........ So a month to process the order and almost a month to make them?

Yeah getting the wires off was a major pain but my dad was watching as I finished up and he said I'm lucky I didn't end up buying a 4th gen Trans Am otherwise I wouldn't be able to check the plugs so quickly lol

Oh, well I personally hate when I sound like a know it all because I absolutely hate when people act like they know everything. So I don't want to be something I don't like.

Yeah there really isn't much room under the hood in the 4th gens. I know my dad will want to help me with my headers. He always will come and help when I'm working on a car. It's pretty funny I think because it can be a friends car or mine, he tries to play it off so well.

My dad always asks if I need help which is nice but usually it's small things I'm doing which don't really require much help. I always feel a little bad saying I don't need help but I finally needed his help when I was dropping the rear end to do the subframe bushings and he helped when I finally realized I had two pipes on my exhaust system backwards

My dad doesn't ask, he just comes by, asks what I'm doing and then says oh you need to do this and this and then just oversees the entire time. Usually I'll get stuck at something and he'll say oh let me try and then it turns into a father son project. I have no complaints but I find it funny.
