Agreed weak burnout.
Can I change the subject for a sec. They are saying 580hp for the ZL1...wheels or crank? They advertised 426hp on the V8 SS Man for the 2010 but we all know it's more like 360ish at the wheels. If these are crank numbers, are we talking 580hp at the crank and 500 at the wheels, I'm just doing my math here.

Yes, all cars HP ratings (that I know of) from the manufacturer are measured at the crank.

That's what I figure. I wonder who will win between a good cam only car and the ZL1.

Limp "burnout"; if you can call it that. Give me the car and I will definitely show you one. Car has a nice throaty exhaust note, that's for sure.

The president said its to cover battle-scars.
I'm sure you would get a lot of paint chips while running on the track! This is just to hide those dings, dents and chips... |

Will the drive train really handle this power under abuse? Is the this the same tranny and rear in the SS?

However- 1/3 of SS was upgraded/improved for ZL1. The tranny is probably the same (or very closely related) as CTS-V's (the same goes either A6 or M6). The rear is a new cast-iron case with probably a 14-bolt differential. The rear cradle bushings have also been improved. That's a scratch on the surface of what's been improved for ZL1
