Bunch of live photos there.

Sierra 1500 SLE Extended Cab and Silverado 1500 LTZ Extended Cab Z71.
front end looks so slab sided in those pics, like the 73-87

I have to agree, I don't think the Chevy looks bad at all. I was hoping for more of a change, but I still think it looks good. I'd own one, and may be much more inclined towards the new Chevy once they reveal more details, but for now, I'd have to have a RAM.

After seeing these pics from the link Fen posted above, I stand even more by what I just said above.

Interior looks pretty good to me, but I wouldn't really say its any better than the Ford and Dodge interiors, I think I still prefer them a bit. Would love to see other interior color combos and options. That could change my mind a bit perhaps?

^^^ Damn that looks good. The more I see the Silverado, the more I want one. Now I have to decide between that or a Camaro...

brand new engine or not, a NA v6 is the WRONG way to go.. the 3.5 ecoboost already outclasses the 5.3 v8 and arguably competes against the 6.2, how is having a new smaller v6 going to be different?

the rate the Ford has been upgraded since 09 is much more than what GM is offering here.. there was major change between an 08 F150 and 09 F150 as well as an 09 Ram 1500 and 10 Ram 1500..

Because the new 5.3L V8 is GM's answer to the EcoBoost. Not my words, that's straight from GM. Apparently they're very confident in the new engines.

And considering what I'm hearing about the 4.3L, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

Nice! Yep, I think I like the RAM best for exterior and interior.

As for those griping about about new NA V6. I think its a great option. Look at the good reviews the RAM V6 is getting thanks in part to its 8 speed transmission. Its obvious it is not meant to compete with the ecoboost. It is the economy version with some decent power, while the 5.3 is supposed to compete powerwise with ecoboost...AND economy wise I'm thinking.

You know this 4.3 is going to have more HP and TQ than the Pentastar V6 that RAM is using...very curious to see what kind of transmission they pair it with though.

I had a very nice looking shortbed, regular cab 07 Ram with the 4.7 V8. It only made 240HP and 300 TQ or something close to that. This new V6 will probably make as much torque, and will definitely make more HP.

Yep, correct, the 4.3 would go against the 3.6 Ram and 3.7 NA F-150. I am interested in what the Hemi does in FE once it gets the 8 speed auto early next year, estimates were around 25% better FE which would put it at 24-25 MPG HWY which is better in itself than the ecoboost (22-23 MPG HWY).

The side profile of the Silverado at the front, does indeed look like a 1992 Silverado.

I do not like the 1992 Silverado because right now, every time I see one on the road, the individual who drives it either is playing his stereo way too loud, or he installed lights so bright he can see out in space, or the car just looks like the owner has no car insurance. (or all of the above.)

That must mean the SUV'S are going to look like that too. That's going to be interesting. The current 2007-2013 is very clean looking. (If you go back and forth, from a 2013 to 2014, I don't know what to say)

I have been focused on the new engines. I also liked where the door handles is on the current pre-2014 silverado. They moved the door handle up, like you are driving a Honda.

You should not have to raise your hand or arm "up" to open the door. The interior though looks good to me. To me it looks chevy-ish looking.

If you are getting a GM, it will be worth the wait.

I just hope they don't make a taller grill for the HD, this one is large enough to go even on the GM topkicks.
