I did all the painting of the engine cover, fuse box cover, taillight covers.... but these moldings I didn't paint. My buddy owns a paint shop so I just gave them to him and he painted them both.... He did tell me not to bend them extensively or they could potentially crack... so I kept them flat and straight until I installed them

The moldings are actually pretty smooth, i just used a 1000 grid sand paper, then 2 coats of adheretion promoter, 3 coats of paint, sand, and 1 more coat of paint, and lastly 3 coats of cleat.

Same for the antenna.

Quick question:

Did you/the guy who painted them for you just use IOM in a spray can? Also, did you get that spray can from the dealer? Thanks in advance.

When I painted all my plastic parts I ordered the custom color kit from Paintscratch.com which was IOM in a can.... Along with all the other cans (adhesion promoter, cleaner, clearcoat, etc.)

My buddy who painted this I'm sure mixed the paint in his booth and sprayed it once he had the color code, I believe he uses DuPont paint system.

Lol, agreed.
I do like it IOM better than black, and I was also working on transforming everything the same as the RS model, the Roof molding was one of these things.
