Sweet road trip Number 3! You guys going to the Homestead-Miami Sprint Cup race or what?

Any chance of a round trip swing through the SE corner of Saskatchewan?

We are close to Tarpon Springs. If you can get up this way I'd be glad to show you the car up close.

Not going down to Miami. That's a lonnnngggg way.

Saskatchewan could be a nice summer trip but it's 80 here and I am driving a convertible.

I will say that coming down I hardly had interest.from even the other 5th gen drivers but get here and drop the top and it's like December 2008 all over again.

Oh and OMG!!!!!! The top will drop with 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk!!!!!!!! Had to pull the drivers out and lay them in separately but they are in the trunk. And this is the benefit of not having a power tonneau cover. I'll take getting clubs in the trunk with the top down any day.

My wife took a picture of a RJT with black stripes in a parking lot and said she really likes that color.
Sold mine(her) 97 Z convertible last year(just a little upset), we agreed for our anniversary we would get a new convertible.
I see a RJT convertible in our future.
Hope you had a safe trip down and can't wait to see one in person.
Your test vehicle looks AWESOME!

Sounds like the trunk design is alot better than the 4th gen

... I'll save my wordy questions for when you get back.

I remember staying in Valdosta around 6-7 years ago..thanks to a hurricane. Apparently my parents didn't take us far enough away, seeing as there was a Tornado within a couple of miles from us. Hopefully you have better memories of that place than I do.

How is the wind noise with the top dropped? Does it get unbearable at a certain speed?

Is there more road noise with the top on?

Can you tell it's a heavier car when you take turns?

How does she sound when you take off (top down)?

What other differences are there that you can think of(off the top of your head)?

If they don't want you answering these questions, no problems. Also, I know you're using your iPhone, so you can save it for another day if you'd like.

Thanks for keeping up with this.

the camaro looks pretty good with the top down but honestly, I think the coupe blows the convertible away in the area of looks. The coupe just has a much more agressive look to me. The vert really doesn't do anything for me.

1 question for you Mr Number 3, How does it sound to drive it with the top up on the high way! noisy and loud, any air leakage like the previous models

Or does it sond more like a german convert!!

Waiting for your reply

Cheers

Notice how the top look thicker around the side windows

There is actually more of the side window showing on the front windshield area (a-pillar) than there is in top area. The top covers the side window glass more than it should. Couldn't do this without window closing after the door is completely shut. Probably a reason for the design but it looks bit akward/clumsy
