Dear GM Card,

Thanks for denying my credit card application due to "Insufficient Credit References." Too bad I can't build credit WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD.

Sincerely,

Kevin

Starting out can be difficult. My nephew was in a similar position. He went to a credit Union and opened a checking and saving account. They issued him a credit card about 90m days later. Stop the your local CU and talk to them.

SOLD

I moved the S10 to the past vehicles today.
The truck never got used and was going to waste.
I will still see it on the local streets.

My mom said she would just get me on their GM card account. Not sure if that will build me any credit or not though.

All these, Kevin I remember opening my savings and checking accounts, then applying for a personal-like loan, where you never actually get cash, but over the coarse of about a year, or whatever the term is, you pay it back every month. It was great to build credit and you just make sure you make the monthly payments. I believe they were from $50-$100 or something.

Excellent suggestions above

Respectfully...

When we first started my dad co-signed for us to get our credit established.

The first items were wedding rings and a car. Once you get established your mail box will fill up with credit card applications (junk mail).

Nothing quite like the "Hurry up and wait" game...

Ain't that the truth?! Whether you want it or not, "Sign right here (X.......) and $10 gazillion DOLLARS is on it's way to you!"

At least, then, you can tell folks you're a GAZILLIONAIRE!
