Question Am I crazy for thinking this???

I'm really thinking about backing out of my #1 position at my dealer for MSRP and waiting until I get my GMS discount honored. I say this because I could save almost $3500 if I wait. I really really want the car, but that's alot of money to my family(the dog, a girlfriend, and I). Is anybody else thinking these same thoughts or am I on my own?

Oh, does anybody know a dealership accepting the GMS discount in Va, MD, or maybe NC?

I dont think your crazy, it would be great to get your car as soon as possible but it really comes down to if 3500 is worth the wait. If money is no problem, then get it as soon as possible, if you certain expenses then hold off. But what if you waited like a couple a monthes and still your discount wasnt honored, that would suck even more. I need the supplier discount because I only have budget of 38 otd, and any discount i can get, i need it, money is still a little tight since his company went down in the summer

no, you're not crazy. however, is that discount a guarantee? when will you be eligible? i don't thing GM is likely to honor such a generous discount at launch. i could be wrong, but my years in the business tell me otherwise. MSRP in writing, matched with a good place in line is hard to upstage. but you still have to pay the rent.

If I knew I could get it honored within a year, Id seriously consider it. I'm dying for the car but $3500 is a lot of money.

Well, if you decide to wait, can I have your MSRP order? I still haven't been able to find a dealer in my area offering MSRP!?

Contact Gm about it. I think they intend to honor it, but it is up to the dealer to accept it.
