I thought about this too. I wonder if they could give the stripes (the part for the spoiler) with the spoiler when you order.

It'll look pretty silly if the stripes just stop at the spoiler.

I'd love to get more info on the Dovetail spoiler.

My guess is that since the dove tail spoiler is a GM Accessories part, you'll need to figure out what to do about stripes on your own. Maybe GM will be smart and make a matching spoiler stripes part so you can get them when you order the dove tail spoiler.

I'd recommend just buying a set of the LS/LT (non-RS) trunk lid stripes and cut the length to fit how you want them on the dove tail spoiler (stop on front like RS/SS stripes or wrap over like Bumblebee stripes). You can get the LS/LT trunk lid stripes through your dealer or GMPartsDirect.com (GM LIST: $128.39 / GMPartsDirect PRICE: $78.78).

Part Number: 92225450 rear compartment lid center stripe (#1) (white)

The factory stripes aren't wide enough for me. I will have to go aftermarket if I'm going to add stripes. The dovetail isn't available yet, is it?

would the dovetail make any difference in terms of aerodynamics or anything?

I mean, I know it wont cost you 1 mpg on the street or .5 seconds on the track or anything like that... just curious if it makes any difference at all. I would think that as retro as this car is, they would have made the spoiler look a lot more like the 1st gen then they actually did. which would have definitely been the dovetail spoiler

I too, have had this question. What will GM do? I can't see them offer a spoiler with no answer to stripes. hint hint

Nobody here will admit that the spoiler that everyody wants is non-functional because that is what they always rag on the "rice" cars for doing. And I couldnt imagine anybody on here being hypicritical!

Is that painted and installed? Very reasonable. IMO
