Also Frank at DSS said Ted from Jannetty had like 5 or 6 customers that he found the OEM 2-piece twisting the spline at the carrier bearing slip joint. Aluminum 3 1/2" best bang for buck, 2-piece more stable at extremely high speeds (lower critical speeds on higher rear end gears), CF should be quiter than aluminum and handle all situations better. Plus Frank deals with Lingenfelter and RPM Transmissions alot. Plus the entire eventual system will have his handiwork involved in each component - so no "blame game" potential. Frank is very accessable to talk with and extremely knowleldgeable. Graham at LPE also brought up critical speed harmonics concerns of OEM DS to me before. Pfadt doesn't seem to be bringing a CF shaft to market anytime soon either - besides, DS's are DSS's specialty, so makes more sense to deal with them.

oh Garth she shure is purty! All I can say is that I totally understand what it is like when you know you are at limits and when you know the solution it is hard to just wait for the problem. So that must be a new fridge and microwave for cheri.

Nope, just know was the next weakest link is, and my VIN is in the range stockers have been breaking the output shaft - just a matter of time, plus carbon fiber sycros are supposed to shift fantastic. Won't be any warranty on my origional tranny.... that's for sure.
