Had 27K trouble free miles and then did an HCI upgrade with new heads installed to help prevent the valve drop issue. I've now got 47K miles and still trouble free. I talked to service director of one of the largest Chev dealers in the nation and he told me flat out... the issue is over hyped. They inspected a lot of Z06s and never found an issue. Some will say they dropped a valve, but don't tell the whole story. Drive the car and enjoy it! We worry too much about the things that usually never happen.

When you had your new heads done did they inspect your old heads at all?
