This is a fairly simple answer. More air in, needs a way to escape more air coming out.

Headers make up a nice gain on forced induction cars. Another good addition is a supercharger specific camshaft grind, which has a slacked intake duration and a much heavily biased exhaust duration.

Another advantage is, headers will reduce the amount of total boost that you will be seeing, but will create more horsepower, so it is a win win, making the motor operate more efficiently.

I heard.... blah blah blah... as any fool would know.... blah blah. What I was asking, was not what it's the function of adding these items to a blower car, but rather was asking what are typical gains.

We all know that doing headers and high flow cats on a N.A. car will typically get you 40ish Hp.

What are you guy's feelings on Texas Speed headers?

No one really ever talks about them.

Affordable, stainless, and great fit. That's what I'm going with.

Yeah, the pricing doesn't look bad. I would ideally want SW headers, but the price is 2x in comparison.

I like the sound from the SW though, will that change sizably with the TSP ones? Or is the sound generally the same?

The only way I can deduce sound to change from different headers would be primary size difference, collector size difference, or difference in the way the primaries are routed. I surmise you're looking at 1 7/8" primaries with 3" collectors, so the only difference would be the way they are routed to fit. Even if there is a difference, I can't really imagine there would be a difference to the sound.

When you've heard sound clips, are these people using the same style cross over and mufflers? I'd bet the difference in sound between header brands is due to those variables rather than the headers themselves.

I went with TSP.. no complaints. I did not coat or wrap mine so they did the normal discolor. I imagine with most headers like these the biggest difference in sound will be if you jump in size and more so the catback/muffler system. Mines a bit more raspy probably when im not pushing the throttle since I have Borla S mufflers.

If I ever get around to doing cam/heads, I will probably go with theirs more then likely. Seem like good group/company and becoming more and more popular.

TSP has been around for a LONG time, so certainly do not fear their reputation.
