I live in Austin and travel to Dallas and Houston to visit family. So I'm pretty much 3 for 3. Gotta love it !

idk, i live on the northwest side of houston and i've only received one ticket in the 7-8 years ive been driving (i know, i'm a young one, 22), and that one was pretty legitimate, 18 over in a school zone (normally would have only been 3 over), though i was really going about 25 over before i slowed down. then again, i was also in a....mustang not a truck, i only had it for 4 months tho haha
i've found that most cops around here wont bother you unless you're going about 10+ over the limit and/or it's near the end of the month and they have to meet their quota. i've heard that in shenandoa (sp?) right around the woodlands mall (not too far from me), they will pull you over for 1 mph over, and even heard about a guy getting pulled over on a bicycle for going 21 in a 20. though i have never had any problems in that part of town. they did just decrease the speed on FM2920 from 55 to 50 which i find an annoyance, but then again, i kinda set my own pace, whether it happens to be the speed limit or not is coincidental

I'm in Houston. I haven't been pulled over so I must not be driving fast enough!

Just south of Austin, drive to Dallas and Houston quite often... Tri-Fecta... have been stopped in all three to boot...I'm amazed Selma is no longer on the list... or New Braunfels... or Schertz...

It was so bad it actually became a safety issue so they put an end to it. Thank god... |

Driving through Austin yesterday and there where 3 pull overs in a 10 mile stretch on I-35 going north. I don't want to give more money to any cities debt collectors so I set the cruise to the posted limit or follow someone who is going a few miles over.

In my first 3 months driving in San Antonio I got 3 tickets... I suppose it had something to do with my Ricer looking 350Z, and I get little to no attention in comparison in my Camaro.

Texas needs to offer a tax incentive to buy a radar detector just to live in the state.
I have found that by adding water methanol to your car will automatically cure your lead foot. A regular drive I am watching my boost guage so I don't spool up to the point I am injecting meth. All for the sole reason I don't want to spend the money on methanol.
