ZL1 v8 Corsa Cat Back Exhaust ?
I have a 2014 ZL1 that I just ordered a combination set off KOOKs headers and off road pips for . I was thinking of getting a full Corsa Cat Back Exhaust system to but is the Corsa system really worth the money ? Is it that much better then the stock exhaust system in either sound quality or HP gran to justify the 1200.00 bucks ?

You won't gain any power from any 3" system with your setup or power level. Longtubes with NPP sounds great, I'd stick with that and see what you think before further investment.
What you do gain is beauty, the 3" systems out there (Magnaflow, Corsa, Borla) look GREAT from behind. My car on the factory PD blower (before the Twin Turbos) made 840 rwhp through the stock NPP with longtubes.

The more HP or air your engine expels the bigger the gains. For most the npp is sufficiant. I am installing my corsa in a couple weeks and expect 20hp gains and I am making 850whp. I think a 640-700 hp cat might pick up 5-10. That's just a guess. More of a gain in reducing drone than hp sometimes.

Very true and I like your post better than mine. We were both posting at the same time. Anxious to see what you find after you dyno yours again.

If you go this route make sure to try and find someone local to you so you could hear theirs or if not try YouTube. My friend has the Corsa with headers and no cats on his CTSV, and to me the NPP sounds way better than the Corsa.

I had the Corsa ZL1 exhaust on my '15 1LE and it sounded awesome. I shifted from the dual exhaust. But, now that I have the NPP on my ZL1 I think I am going to stick with it. I will say the Corsa looks great on the rear, but for the price I can't justify changing it out. Just my $.02

I have kooks headers with high flows and the corsa cat back, I love the way it sounds and very quiet cruising on the highway. As said though the stock exhaust will do the job.

I just put my corsa on I couldn't be happier. It sounds awesome. Quieter in the car and louder outside the car. To me the car sounds much smoother. I got it mostly for looks though and a little more sound. Im not expecting to get much horse power gains. The npp does good work though with flow.

I have 2 in ARH headers, no cats and Corsa catback. Love the sound of the car. Making 765 to the tire, before I changed to Corsa. I plan to tune again to see the gains.
Plus cold starts sound amazing.... |
