New Pfadt stainless parts!

Got my pdaft trailing arms and toe rods yesterday from JDP. Thanks Tyler and JDP for fast shipping and awesome customer service. These things are a work of art. I haven't decided yet if I want to paint them or just throw them in raw. What do you guys think?

I got mine last month from Apex. I personally am not a fan of the "raw" look. I preferred the older look of them. I thought about powder coating mine but I honestly think it would be a waste of money. When they are one no-one will really be able to see them but that is just my opinion.

I am slightly concered about little spots of rust showing up so I might just hit them with a quick coat of paint. Did you install yours yet?

Not yet, I will be installing just the trailing arms and outer trailing arm bushings tomorrow though.

I personally really like the raw look! Thanks for the order and kind remarks! Let us know how you like them once you have them installed!

If they are stainless I don't think rust will be a problem. I'm not a fan of the bluing from the welds, so I would paint them if they were mine. I have the older ones and I installed as is. Not something anyone sees very often. Good choice on arms. Made a world of difference on my car.

Thanks Tyler! I'll post pics of them on the car along with those new subframe bushings you sent me.

I did mine about a month ago and sprayed them with rubberized undercoating. They looked really nice, I should have taken pics. I know stainless is never supposed to rust, but I have seen so many stainless parts that have, so I was not willing to install them and chance it.

I have these waiting to be installed. Photos do not do these justice, they really are a work of art.

Agreed, that's why mine went in raw. I also added full subframe bushings at the same time. It's a night and day difference, the car feels planted now and straight line traction is double what it was. My only regret is not doing this sooner.

Stainless will only rust if it has been in contact with another metal. If stainless rusts get some pickling paste will pull the other metal right out.

Personally if I owned those I would like a buff of the welds I think leaving the smoke marks on are a bit unfinished.

Here are a couple of options we played with. We will probably bead blast the inside and brush the out side.
