Virginia Camaro owners
Virginia drivers has anybody done a after market Exhaust add on,cat -back or axle -back? If so what type and prices.Have the cops given you any trouble wiyh exhaust? Anybody from Roanoke area.

im from northern VA where cops are EVERYWHERE. my 98 wasnt quiet when i got on it but i had no trouble with them. maybe bc i was careful

There are a lot of people in the area that have their exhaust done up on their Camaros, including me, and I havent had no problems with the cops. Also it depends on what you looking for. You want something loud and aggressive or deep and smooth.
Also welcome to the forums  There are tons of information here that can guide you to what you want for your Camaro. And yes Im Army too

I have had no issues with any law enforcement and my cutouts. Between home and work I run into leesburg police, loudoun county sherrif, fairfax county police and state police. I am also careful not to open it up while next to them of course, but I seldom close them anymore.

I live in Alexandria and so far have never had issues with cops for exhaust and I drive all over NOVA. Had a friend get yield at by a fairfax county cop once. He was sitting at a stop light and revved and the cop happen to be a car behind at the next light we stopped at the cop pulled up a long side and just said I could give you a ticket for excessive noise but then he just drove off.
I know it not NOVA area But in Emporia I got a ticket for improper exhaust, had the SLP loudmouth on my 02 Z28 passed the cop as I was getting off I95, I was not speeding when I passed him. I have Family that live down there and the cops there seem to look for any reason to pull you over. |

I have muffler delet, which has never been an issue.

cherry bomb extreme for the V8 on my v6. Its loud, but I'm sure cops have more important things take care of.

I put a set of JBA long tube headers and exhaust on my 2SS and i havent had a cop pull me over once. usually they tell me to rev it or give me a thumbs up..
