Interior Preference

Do you prefer leather or cloth and why?

Leather, especially if I'm buying a $20k plus car or in my case a $40k car.

Personally I like the look and feel of leather better, but for wear purposes cloth is much better. Leather breaks down and looks terrible after a while

Nothing against cloth at all...I like the leather...but in cars these days it seems like the only way to get certain options is with the leather interior, many are not available with cloth...Now its not much of a consideration, but as I remember, A/C was a must in order to keep the leather nice...
I would think, even with these cars you could always have the seats re-upholstered in leather at some point, if you wanted to go cloth at first.

on the steering wheel it's nice, but cloth is so much easier on the rest of the car. I spend enough time on the outside. I need a break on the interior.

Never had an issue with leather, cloth wears and tears too, and if you take the time to condition your leather every once in a while it will look good forever. Also if you spill something on leather it doesn't soak in like cloth does. Dog cut his paw on something at the ocean and we made emergency trip to the vet to have it sewn up. Blood was every where, you want cloth or leather in that situation? Glad I had leather, wiped right up cleaned and conditioned and no one would be the wiser. Its like carpet vs hardwood floors.... sure carpets soft, but stains like a mofo.

leather. It seems easier to keep clean and has a luxury look. Especially if there heated.

Cloth, I find it very comfortable. I hate the feel of leather. Not only that, but it gets really hot in the summer, and real cold in the winter.

Cloth for sure. I had leather before and HATED IT. In the cold, it's freezes your ass. In the blistering summer it burns your ass. If you don't do upkeep, after a while, it looks like ass and has a tendency to crack. When it dries out it feels like crap.

As far as performance wise, cloth grips much better than leather when doing hard turns. I slid everywhere in my leather seats. This was in a BMW 328i by the way. When I was shopping for my Camaro, I had 3 things that are imperative. V8, manual, cloth.

From the dealer... Cloth! I want Leather, but I find the plain black unappealing, and I did not feel upgrading 6grand in price was worth the leather and extra's, all I really want to add is leather, 4 guage pack and some interior trim pieces... That I can do for under 2grand. And I can have the leather customized in ways it won't come from the factory. So yes I want the leather, but not from the factory

Preference is for cloth. Leather looks great and very comfortable but it's hot/cold, wears quicker and takes a lot to maintain

Cloth. It feels more comfortable,it holds up better, less maintenance, and It's too damn hot in Texas for leather in a vert.
