$1000 off any 2009/2010 GM vehicle

So I received a letter in the mail from GM Canada where they are offering this discount on all cars except i think heavy trucks.

I just placed my order a couple weeks ago. Taking bets on who thinks I'll actually be able to apply the discount as a credit against the down payment on my already-ordered vehicle LOL. They've already refused to match a lower offer that I could have gotten from another dealership had I waited a couple more days before placing my order. Boy, do I ever love dealing with car dealerships

kinda what i was thinking, but ive never owned a GM vehicle, at lest not one that was bought new... The only way I can figure they even got my address was from placing the order on my 2LT... And the letter says nothing about it being a loyalty program... it pretty much just says to bring the letter in before July and you qualify.

ah well... gonna stop by the dealership on monday and see what's what.

I asked my dealer on Saturday, and they advised that all you have to do is take delivery of your NEW vehicle by July 31st, and show proof of your current GM vehicle & insurance. If you have all of that you get $1000 off the total price of your NEW car (tax incl).
This is the GM LOYALTY PROGRAM, that was started in another thread. It's a Manufacturer to Consumer Credit.

The letter I got definitely wasn't for the loyalty program. And it was actually addressed to my mom, who has never, in her life, owned any GM vehicle, LOL. but the fine print does state that you have to take delivery by July 31st. I called my dealership to ask about this, and they said all I could do was try and call GM and ask them to extend it (i wont be taking delivery untill october).

I'll post back after I have a chance to call GM and see what's what.

Oh, and should also mention, the letter said that it can be transferred to any family member with the same address.

I won't be able to take advantage of this because I pick up my car in Sept or Oct (09'). Will I be able to take advantage of any new offers or promotions that either GM or my dealer might have at the time of delivery to me?????

I spoke with GM customer service last night. I'm in the same boat as you (not taking delivery until october). They said they would call the dealership for me and try to work something out. I'll keep you posted, but for anyone else who received this letter in the mail, it's probably worth calling them even if you don't meet the requirements bang on. Nothing to lose, and potentially, a grand to gain!

i got the letter today too! yay $1000 off! we are sure that 2010 Camaro is on the eligible list right?

Yes, it's eligible but the trick is that in the fine print, it says you have to order and take delivery before, i believe, July 31st. I have an open ticket with GM customer service, they are looking into whether an exception can be made. I'll definitely post here when I get an answer from them.

well mine was TPW June 15 so it I better take delivery before July 31! Otherwise I will not be impressed...lol
