Ass-kicking in a Camaro can get tiresome. Sometimes it's nice to be able to hold a cup of coffee while you're doing the tough work of burying your right foot into the carpet.

I know what you were talking about, you lush... However, I can't say I've always abided by the "no open container" laws. It's always been only as a passenger, though, usually on fishing/4-wheeling trips

People may not be laughing and snickering to your face, but behind your back they are when you tell them you drive an Automatic Camaro...

Especially when one makes excuses about knees, wives and traffic…

And the fastest car on the Camaro5 fast list is a Manual…

I'm sure they are, as the get back into a Civic or minni van, Dude not everyone is a super enthusiast, The fact is people only care that you have the car, It's gorgeous, and they don't have one, Not that you have great stick skills LOL simpleton

I couldn't be happier with my A6. I have had many manual sports cars but when I bought the Camaro I felt the A6 better suited the cars purpose which is basically burnouts and straight line performance. Though is handles well I view it as a pony car not a sports car. My Camaro replaced a 2008 Zo6, which was great and only came in a manual. But honestly I'm happier driving the Camaro with the A6.

My wife has a m/t Solstice for rowing. The auto is much better in town here in Phoenix.

At a recent auto show I saw five awesome 69 Camaro's parked next to each other. All were super show car SS's...all auto's. Two 2010 Camaro's were there...mine a V6 auto and a black SS auto.
I bought an auto because I don't want to work to drive....let technology do it for me. Manuals are the oldest and first transmissions. The dragstrip has proven manual trans is faster (only if you know how to shift and of course every manual driver is an expert at shifting...yeah, right). I'm not going for speed (though a little speed is a good thing), I'm going for show....the shifter (manual or auto) on the console doesn't win shows! Just my opinion. Yeah, so I'm lazy...I don't want to move my left leg and my right hand and syncronize....I just want to set back and enjoy the ride.......
BTW...today while driving my auto transmission Camaro....I saw a lime colored Gremlin at an auto shop. It was in great condition and looked cool...probably an auto trans! Yeah....I must be crazy...but aren't we all! If you want a manual/chirp your tires and lay rubber...then go ahead and shift....if you want to just drive without any hassle...go with auto. I chose auto.

I have no doubt that over time I would have gotten used to the manual, but I admit I just like being able to put the car in Sport and let it do the work. I also love the idea of the paddles so I can play when I want to. I think it comes down to what feels right to a person.

It's also nice to be able to drink a cup of coffee while in traffic and not worry about shifting.

Auto start was a big thing, never liked having to "work" to drive my car. My cousin has a mustang shelby gt, we wanted to take it tro NASCAR in Dover last spring, than he said "my leg would fall off going home in all that traffic" That was it, automatic 4 me! And I love it!

Because it's hard to drink a beer while having to shift.
