Hahaha very true. I was looking forward to this Refresh thinking they would have nailed the design but this car made me go

I could have almost lived with the front end change, but then I saw the back..

It's the normal reaction to something "different". The Camaro's looks have always been polarizing.

They have sold plenty of 5th Gens already and now they stand to bring in a new group of buyers. Business as usual....

The 2014 looks kind of awkward. the Hood vent looks small, the bow tie seems smaller. and the thinner air slit removes alot from what this car should represent. This camaro now looks more like a regular car. And for the back, makes me think of what Chrysler might come up with.
I am relieved to own a 2013.
hey wait a minute, is that an SS
Ah! At least someone agrees with me. I posted the below earlier..

Friggin wonderful,

I knew this would happen after Sang Yup Lee left GM. Whats worse is the higher ups at GM signed off on this refresh and all those disciples should be fired ASAP. It's the 80's all over again, they will redesign this car into distinction!!

I understand the nose design, while its not perfect its just OK, grill looks less impressive now, no harm no foul.
The tail, again not perfect it's OK, no harm no foul.

But holy crap, the hood, Are we in 1984 again? WTF were they thinking!!!! I'm dumbfounded!
The cars heritage is with Rally stripes, why would you break that up????

No HP boost? Really..............
Interior, come on guys, plenty to do in there!!

Once folks get their hands on them and start modding, it won't be that bad. At first I didn't like it...but, I started thinking about what "could" it become. I definitely like the old style better. Time will tell though.

Anyone stop to think that perhaps the heat extrator hood is an option on the SS?? Just saying why don't you wait to cast judgment until all the facts are in. I'll wait until the press release and I can view the car in high resolution rather than base it off of a picture from a TV screen.

Eh I'm not crazy about the front fascia. That hood is awesome though and I'll reserve judgment on the rear till I get a better picture.

Why they hell would they reveal it on some stupid morning show? That's really stupid. Why did they wait so long to reveal it if they weren't going to wait for the auto show?

The extractor on the hood better be functional even if it is way too small. Not sure how I like the brake lights yet.

+1 I think we need a better view of the rear from a distance, I don't think this shot shows enough to pass judgement just yet...

The only car shown is a 2014 SS/RS (in a metallic red).

The new front fascia looks pretty good to me. It narrows the upper grille and enlarges the lower opening, making the front of an SS look more like a ZL1. Plus I always hated the non-functional mail slot in the SS front fascia, and the redesign eliminated it.

I like the heat extractor in the new hood, although the black plastic looks better in some pics than in others (better when it looks black and not when reflecting light and grayish-looking). However, I loved the rally stripes on the hood (and trunklid) of the '10-'13 Camaros, and I don't see the heat extractor and stripes going together on that hood.

I liked the old taillights but thought the old rear fascia was a bit busy looking. The new rear fascia seems cleaner looking, but I don't like the new taillights, at least on first sight. Maybe they'll grow on me. And I was used to the rear license plate where it was before (it gets mounted lower now and sits half on the diffuser).
