Does installation of the gauges trip any messages on your driver info. display or do they need to be calibrated somehow? This sounds like just plug and play and nothing else....?

Thanks !

I found it very useful for knowing when the car is up to operating temp before getting on it. The coolant can up to temp yet the oil and tranny haven't budged. While I knew this to be the case even without the gauges, I was still pretty surprised at how much longer it took the oil to warm up.

I also broke the cig lighter door , as well as one of the plastic tabs underneath :(

I have also thought about someday trying to relocate the gauges to were they could be better seen!

I got them for my LT/RS, just like knowing what exactly is going on with the car instead of waiting for the warning lights to come on when it's probably too late.

Oh, and they look cool too.

Easy installation, just plug 'n' play. See attached PDF file for illustrated instructions.

So easy, even someone who is colorblind like me can do it. All connectors and no wiring required. Took me 15 minutes total. That included removing the buttons from the old console and installing them on the guage cluster.

I think it's just eye candy. I'd rather put them on the A pillar. Someone should make an A pillar mount to stack the 4 of them there.

They're more aesthetic than anything as far as I'm concerned. In the 5 months I've owned my 2LT, I've never actually bothered to read the guages. This is probably because they are way out of ones line of vision while one is actually driving. They do impress little kids who check out my car though.

I had the dealer install them before I picked it up. It really ties the interior into that of the 1st gen.

I might add it to my 1ss after I do custom leather and the Metra kit. Pretty much only for the looks.

They are so out of the way by the time I notice them. It will be too late.
