Cabin lighting?
Looking at new lighting for the light in the cab. Want led white or led red. Anyone does this. I heard red is hard to see. Let me know what you think.

Just put mine in from JW Motorsports who is a vendor here. Here's a link: http://shop.jwmotoring.com/product.s...categoryId=329
Comes with 2 bulbs, one for the dome light, the other is for the trunk light. They're much brighter than the standard bulb, and are only $15 shipped, lifetime warranty.

They don't look bad or anything? Do they look normal in the light socket or can u tell where the bulb is?

Get yours from JW... I got blue and it is the first thing people comment on when I unlock my car because the whole cabin turns blue. People think that is so awesome. I spent less then 20 bucks and people comment on that over the ambient lighting... go figure.
I put blue in the trunk too...hard to see but I dont care because it still looks great. |

Mine are white, and to answer your question, once you remove the cover, install the bulbs, and replace the cover, you can't tell anything has been done until the light comes on. It's much brighter. If I remember correctly, there's 5 LEDs on the bulb; one facing straight down, and one on each of the four sides.
Also, if you're interested, they sell a license plate kit which is the same price, $15 shipped, and consists of two bulbs. Makes a big difference. Here it is: http://shop.jwmotoring.com/product.s...categoryId=328

These look pretty sweet. Does the blue look good? The pictures on their link don't really do anything justice..
Leaning towards blue for impact, but a bright white might be cool too. |

It's not super bright but you can read words on a page. Just a little tough to see. I never read in my car and never really turn them on, but when that door opens people will stare at your car. I drive a yellow camaro so the blue at night looks very sleek.
Its my favorite cheap mod |

I went with white since orange wasn't available, and I want to be able to use it to light the inside of the car when needed (wife looking through purse for crap). And I have orange footwell LEDs, so I can turn the dome light off and light the cabin orange when I want to anyway.
Either way you go, you won't regret it!

I went with all white lights upgrades - Diode Dynamics is the way to fly.

Map light is a T10 or 194/168 bulb socket.
This is what I went with. http://www.amazon.com/White-Panel-Li.../dp/B007VLFA4M VERY bright. I just put a little double-sided tape on the back of the little SMD board. The cover goes right over it no problems.
