How often is the Track your Order updated?

Our Camaro is scheduled to be built this WEEK! I find myself leaving the Track your Order window open on my computer and refreshing more times than I want to admit to see if we have moved on to the "Production Complete" bar.

Does anyone know do they update at the end of the day - hourly... I am having a hard time sitting on my hands! LOL

It allows you to sign up for email alerts on when your car is updated. You can even send it your phone as a Text Message (SMS) as most carriers have an email address for your phone.

Thank you! I have a question on mine if anyone can explain that would be FABULOUS! I have 2 (3100) and 2 (3300) on my list below (the dates are different) - neither has TPW on them.... Anyone know why - and when does the TPW get on there or is mine just missing ...

03/24/2011 - (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
03/24/2011 - (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
03/29/2011 - (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
03/29/2011 - (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
04/14/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
04/14/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
04/19/2011 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
04/19/2011 - (3300) Order scheduled for production. Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle.
04/22/2011 - (3400) Order Broadcast (internal plant paperwork order produced). Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together.

Thank you for any help - I have never ordered a car and just trying to figure this all out. We were hoping for a VIN# to be produced by 5/2/11 so that we can do paperwork at the dealership - we have a $1000 off coupon from GM that expires on 5/2/11.

There was a hiccup in the system last week were this happened to quite a few people. Also as far as I know you cant finalize the paperwork at the dealership until the car is Delivered. Has nothing to do with when your car is produced. Might want to get with your dealer and see if they will extend the coupon you have. My feelings though is that you wont get to use it.

Thank you for the info. It is a coupon from GM - so the dealership cannot extent - darn.

So... what did the hiccup do? Did it delay everything a week?

The best I can tell you after watching our Vert go through the process is the website updates in the morning around 0715 AM EDT. Our vert was delivered to the dealer 2 days before it was updated on the website. Steve

As far as I know, nothing was delayed. Something happened where alot of people went back a stage then forward again. But it shouldnt have upset your TPW.
