Bluetooth navagation

I couldn't get my phone nav to come through the speakers when using the Bluetooth. The phone is linked with the car. This was the firs time I've tried to use it. Help!

Does music play through the stereo? There's two Bluetooth connections. One for phone calls and one for streaming audio. I can get navigation audio to stream to the radio via Bluetooth, but after a period of silence between the navigation prompts, the radio goes back to its previous audio input. I guess it figures the source have been turned off because the periods on silence.

Contacted Chevy about my 2014 Android bluetooth Nav app not going through car speakers when I first bought the car new; they told me that would not work ... maybe someday if a new software version was created. However, the music apps work fine with both bluetooth and/or usb cable.

I know that ipones have a feature called HFP (stands for hand free profile). I would expect Androids have this too because HFP is sort of a standard "connectivity" technology for Bluetooth used by phones to "interrupt" ANYTHING that is playing on the mylink system: Radio, streaming audio, Satellite, etc., for when a phone call comes in.

I can confirm that in my 2014 camaro, I can use the apple map, or WAZE, and when it announces directions, it will interrupt anything playing on the mylink system, and even if powered off, it will come through mylink, and I will hear the directions through the car. It "appears" as an incoming call from my phone on the mylink screen.

When I first tried to enable this, I did not actually have the "Enable HFP prompts" option as seen in the instructions at the link below. So I deleted my phone pairing, re-paired, and it now was there as an option and works perfect!

See here for exact details how to enable HFP from Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204242
