Radiant Red VS Wild Cherry Tintcoats in the sun
I've been trying to record the two to get a comparison. in 2020 I bought a Wild Cherry 1SS. time went on and I sold it and ordered a 23 1SS in Radiant Red. I have taken pics of the new and dredged up shots of the old looking for comparison. the Radiant is darker overall but shadows etc will still fool the memory. Both shot in the bright sun. my shadow and no sunroof was November 2020 Wild Cherry. the other was shot yesterday. same camera. new car has sunroof and silver stripes. I ordered it. I hope this helps clear things up.

Both colors look great, but judging by pictures alone (would have to see both in person, preferably side-by-side for a real comparison), I think I prefer the Radiant Red. Looks darker in the photo, and more striking to my eye. Actually reminds me quite a bit of my previous Soul Red Crystal Mazda MX-5, which was an awesome color that I always got compliments on.

I don’t think the Wild Cherry pic is a an accurate representation. Hopefully, the person I stole this pic from is ok with me sharing it. What I like about Wild Cherry is the Orange highlights in the sun. However, I really like the darker deeper Radiant Red. Would love to see Garnet, Radiant and Wild Cherry side by side in person in the sun and without sun. all great colors.

I just ordered (3-1-23) a 2023 Camaro 1LT, Radiant Red Tintcoat to replace my 2011 (Red Jewel Tintcoat) that was totaled by a Honda that ran a red light.
I wish that they offered the Caffeine Metallic that is a Corvette color!  I think the Caffeine Metallic would look great on the Camaro even though I love the Radiant Red Tintcoat!

Sorta hard to judge picture #1. It sorta looks like GM's orange color. Of the two I prefer the darker radiant red.

That picture #1 has to be GM metallic orange, not WC

WC looks different in all type of light… at least to my eyes, there’s highlights of Orange under certain circumstances. I suspect Radiant does the same type thing. As well, I know Garnet does it too (owned one). Pretty amazing…

My bad I guess. That's one of the reasons I stayed away from GR and WC. In certain sun-lit conditions, I saw hints of orange (burnt orange) that I wasn't a fan of.
Maybe Radiant Red has much less of that? The pic above looked more like a Candy Apple Red in the sun, similar to Mazda's color, which I like. |

Yea, not sure if Radiant does / doesn’t color shift.. If I remember correctly and my eyes interpreted correctly, Garnet can have a rich gold hue (although, could be off base it’s been 4 years since I had mine).
Again.. I’d like to see all of these cars in one spot, live and in person. |

OH yeah, the Radiant changes and plays tricks on your eyes. I have pics of the WC looking dark as well. Like somebody said, All three Reds are beautiful and I've owned 2 of them. I tried really hard to take two bright sun shots for comparison.......but what's really needed is a true side by side on the same day. Sometimes the WC was really dark, here's the Radiant looking dark. thanks for your replies.........
