I think everyone is all saying the same thing, but some are just not listening. The OP gets the 28% from the rated Fly Wheel HP of 580 and the Base Dyno Results that gave him 418 RWHP. The Dyno is what it is… That loss equates to 28%. Taking the same 28% and applying it to his Final Dyno RWHP of 536 that gives him 744 Fly Wheel HP. That’s if the 28 % is constant. The big thing is that the OP gained 118 RWHP….. A brief example is below…. Good Job OP…
FWHP 580 Base Dyno RWHP 418 Drive Train % Loss 27.93% FWHP / Loss % / RWHP Loss / Final RWHP 580 / 28% / 162.00 / 418 596 / 28% / 166.47 / 430 610 / 28% / 170.38 / 440 624 / 28% / 174.29 / 450 694 / 28% / 193.84 / 500 728 / 28% / 203.34 / 525 744 / 28% / 207.81 / 536

Please consider this Godsplumber:
Your modded ZL1 has 744 flywheel HP A bone stock ZL1 has 580 flywheel HP Therefore your car has 164 more flywheel HP than the bone stock ZL1 A bone stock ZL1 reportedly ran a best ET of 11.77 in the quarter mile. What is your best ET in the quarter mile with your modded vehicle ? It seems logical that your 164 more FWHP should beat the 11.77 Please post your best ET time slip and a video so we can see it. Don't you all agree that would be a logical/reasonable comparison ? |

Well nice bump in power from baseline. But personally I would be very unhappy with 536rwhp regardless of what dyno it was on given $12k in mods. Just sounds so low despite the nice increase from baseline.

Well iv been using a mustang dyno for my mods on both my car and if this is true, my caddy made 577 with NO exhaust mids and a zr1 cam, just a upper and air cleaner.. nit even a ported blower..
The prob with mustang dyno is it needs input for a real accurate reading.. Question one, DID YOU KNOW YOUR CARS WEIGHT? Dyno operator would HAVE TO KNOW THIS on a mustang for a real reading. Question two, DID HE CORRECT FOR weather, this witchcraft on mustang dynoes is very innacurate because I have stould next to one with a hand held and the da has neen over a thousand feet off on the "dynos" correction. Question three, how did the car only make a few more hp with 5-6 more pounds of boost.. this is my biggest red flag. Thats a hundred hp, no matter what dyno, MINIMUM! Being a auto car I see the 450 wheel number being right on a low reading dyno with a inept operator.. this is right im sure, but where is the power from the boost.. this is deff what u should be worried about.. My stuffs making over 800 then woohoo!!!!.. Lol.. no.. |

Ok, so you say you got 448 on the mustang dyno, that is 23% loss not 28%.

The biggest problem here is two different dyno's were used for pre and post testing. I would be curious as to what your wife's car base was, seeing the same dyno was used for your post testing. The reason I ask is because the loss should be about the same if both are autos.

I asked for expert opinions and all i get are a bunch of retards that dont even read the thread, dont even know anything about dynos, or cars at all or they would not have been so caught up on what the dyno #s say. Which are only good to measure gains. And speaking of gains, i made plenty. The car is very fast. I posted my results so i could get input on what happened with gains, and boost and what people that actually knew something thought. I was thinking that i could do all these other mods, headers, cats, exhaust, araid, tune and pick up a ton of HP, and then go ahead and follow the LPE build to get that extra HP too. Instead what i was this. So, would i reccomend the LPE 650kit after doing the exhaust mods, yes i would, because i noticed like i said earlier that this car lacked hard acceleration after the Corsa install and the smaller pulleys, added boost gave me some much needed acceleration.
