Vortech V-11 XB110 Just Came In

Here are some pics right out of the box.

We are expecting huge numbers with this. Only time will tell. Here are the specs form Vortech.

Max Speed: 65,000 RPM
Max Boost: 35 PSI
Max Flow: 3,100 CFM
Max Power: 1,900 HP
Peak Efficiency: 73%
Discharge OD: 3.50″
Inlet OD: 6.00″
Inducer Diameter: 4.33″

The YSi ran out of steam at 1012 RWHP in this car with spinning it close to 80K rpm. Will be interesting to see what this puts down.

Here are the pics of the engine bay before we put this in. Will have numbers after Christmas.

Please keep us posted on what has to be changed or tweaked to make this fit. Details such as piping, cutting, etc. please!

Is this something that will be a direct bolt-on replacement for the YSi or do you believe that there will be more work involved to install it?

It is supposed to fit the existing ysi bracketry but the inlet and outlet is bigger and it is physically larger

Very sweet looking unit. This fits right in between Prochargers F2 and F3 series and should be a very potent addition or upgrade for anyone wanting serious power. Hurry up and put that bad boy on and lets see what it will do.

I think it going to take a bit of fabbing. Looks like the pinch weld on the strut tower will need to be bent out of the way or cut and rewelded, also the spacer on the very top of the bracket by the power steering might need to be moved as well.

The outlet on this supercharger is 3.5 instead of 3". So we are going to try with the 3" pipes and then switch to the 3.5 to see if there is going to be noticeable difference.

In the previous build we had planned running this supercharger, but Vortech did not have it ready. I had Bell make a 2000HP 6" Core Intercooler for it.

Here is the size difference from the one from Vortech and the new one we made. We also did a dual pass Ron Davis radiator at the same time. We custom made all the mounts and it fit in perfect.

Perfect! Those are just the kind of details I want. When you get ot all figured out, what is the possibility of an upgrade kit? Is the radiator a necessity? My car runs 194 regardless of the ambient temperature. Also, I can see the lines but not the condenser, is AC intact or does the new radiator/intercooler combo use too much room?

We will have a conversion kit available when we get everything mocked up. The radiator is not necessary. We did it on this car since it was a no budget build and the customer wanted it to cool for road coarse and high speed runs. It also has separate Trans, Oil, and Diff Coolers.

We are using the factory AC condenser.

Please update the thread or PM me when it is all worked out.

Also, are you going to test it with the vortech intercooler? Vortech told me no one has really tested theirs yet. I would like to know how the Bell and Vortech stack up against each other as a cost comparison vs benefit.

Would something like this be streetable or would this blower be more strictly for track purposes?
