All my cars have a strict order, NO DEALER EMBLEMS upon pickup. They look cheap. Given i bought the car, no way in hell i will let them advertise for free. Same with those awful f'n plate brackets.

Lately the 30 day tag has become the advertisement for most dealers. So they get you for 30 days.

I got in the car and got the build sheet that was under the seat and all of the other paperwork I could find. I told the dealer to go ahead and prep the car, no dealer stickers! I also told them to leave the plastic on the seats and the carpet. I took the plastic off of the seats when I got the car home but I left the plastic on the floor to protect the carpet.

No one at the dealer was offended when I told them no stickers, it's your car and they should ask your permission to put their sticker on your car. From experience they don't ask.

Russ
That's exactly what I told my dealer when my car came in. No front plate bracket either. They actually left even the plastic on the steering wheel on. I got to rip it off. My mats were in the trunk still wrapped in plastic.

Really? So they don't issue you a temp tag in ATL anymore? Our temp tags last for 60 days or until you get your plate.

ABSOLUTELY! No stickers or the like...

I can tolerate the license plate frame until I get home.

THAT IS FRAME - nothing gets mounted on the front bumper!

Yeah it looks trashy, I saw it on my mom's car and got worried since I was buying from the same dealer, but luckly they were cool and kept it off, it's on my license plate holder though but I could care less about that.

I have never allowed a dealership to put their name on my cars. I was asked 3 or 4 times by my dealer if I "wouldn't mind" if they put their sticker on my Camaro. I told them it wouldn't be a problem if they gave me the car for free, or paid me $100/day to be a driving billboard advertising their company. My sales rep laughed at that and just said, "Okay..." ... his boss seemed to take offense, for some reason. ???

"BUT people need to know where you bought your car from?" is what I heard. They can ask me. But if I don't like your service, I'll send them somewhere else. Yeahhhh... he didn't like that. Ah well!

I'm well aware of how some sales personnel act like my purchase somehow falls under the Law of Reciprocity, and that I owe them something for the "privilege" of buying my car from them. Funny thing is... for it to actually be an act that falls under that Law, it has to be something given. Not purchased.

I don't fall for it, I won't stand for it, and I'm offended if they ever try and repeatedly push it on me.

Yup, you can even tell them "not to put a front plate on the car". If you live in a state that requires you have both front & back plates.

When I ordered the car, I specifically said NO DEALER DECALS and when it came in, they slapped 2 on there. I said take them off or they lost a sale. Needless to say, they took them off.

We get that question a lot by customer and it is not rude, heck I work for a dealership and I don't have a sticker on mine! Only sticker allowed is the SS stripes.
