How long approximately?
Hello guys,
I just spoke with the dealer today about ordering my next Camaro, and I'm trying to time everything right. About how long approximately does it take from order to delivery? I know there's a QC hold happening, but I'm just curious what I can expect when I place that order. I'm mostly concerned about winter here. I need to know if I need winter wheels now, or if I can get late next year. I don't want to be without a vehicle because I don't have proper tires to get around. There's also the issue of finding compatible wheels (preferably 18") for the SS which is what I'll be ordering. So what do you guys think, if I ordered a vehicle next week, what month do you think I would receive the vehicle? I appreciate any input!

I live in Central NY (not the city, the state), and I'm putting mine away for the winter. It's not worth it to pile up a $40,000 car because of snow

If you are going to be driving in the snow, do it right and get dedicated wheels and snow tires. You do not want to drive around in an SS in snow on summer tires....no.
If you order now...I'd expected 8 - 10 weeks, but could be less.

If you're wanting to skip this winter (North Dakota winters... Yikes I'm sure), If you order it early February, I'd bet you'll get it mid April. Then you'll have the Spring to break it in. I ordered my 2010 and it took a hair longer than 2 months until I took delivery. By February, I'm sure we should see some consistent production without the QC hold that's happening now.

I was impatient with my order. I should be getting mine in a week or two. At least in NY right now, winter has been nonexistent so I'm hoping I can drive it for a month or so before putting her away

The issue right now is no one knows of compatible 18" rims for the new SS. I have the heritage steelies that I run in the winter on my 2LT, winter tires are a must on anything RWD. It's a shame they won't work for my next Camaro. Thanks for the input everyone! I was thinking it was around two month build time, I think I'll hold out at least a couple more months before I place my order.
