Got my Camaro on the German autobahn

So I've had my 2010 Camaro SS in Germany since March and I finally got the chance to really get her cruising. This last weekend I was driving back from Neuschwanstein Castle in southern Germany. The top speed I have gotten to this point is 220 km/h (about 137 mph). Just north of Regensburg I got her up to 242 km/h (about 150). I really wanted to see if it would top out at 155 mph with the governor, but the roads were a bit curvy and the traffic was not cooperating. Supposedly the autobahn in the former Eastern Germany are in excellent condition with up to 6 lanes. Cant wait. BTW, just tried to fire up the A/C for the first time.....didn't work. Gotta love the Army. Pay me to bring my car over here and go fast

I got mine up to 156mph and that's where the governor stepped in and said "No more sir!"

Neuschwanstein is amazing. My mom was born and raised in Germany, and we were there last year to visit my family over there. I always thought the autobahn would be a great place for the Camaro. Hopefully you can get some pic's to post of your adventures in Germany with the Camaro.

Sorry to jack your thread a little, but this is a picture of Neuschwanstein I took last year while we were visiting.

I am soooooooo jealous.
You are a lucky man!!!
Next time you're out, go for it in fourth.
I saw 158 in fourth but not fifth or sixth.
You will find the limiter, not sure if it was RPM or MPH or both

That's cool man, I'm stationed down at Aviano AB, Italy and I haven't had much chance to stretch her legs yet. Only had the car in country about 2 weeks when they sent me back to the States for an MRT about 2 months ago and I'm still there. Meanwhile my car is sitting in my garage waiting for me to come home to drive her. I'm supposed to go to the NCO Academy next month if I make it back, if not, the next class in Aug and I plan to drive her up there.

Living the dream....
I've always thought there should be an American version of the Autobahn, at least on some of the interstates in sparsely populated areas of the West. No reason we can't safely do 100+ on some stretches.

Maybe I should work on a law to get I55 between St. Loius and Chicago declared the "American Autoban"...

If I was stationed in Germany I would totally sell my car and buy another.. Make some cash!$ I was stationed in Hanua from 2000-04 wish I had a fast car while I was there.

Are there speed cameras on the autobahn? Last time we went there we took a trip to Paris and we definitely light up the highway about 5x's with some camera flashes. lol
