What do ground effects actually affect?
Have there been any tests showing better downforce with the ground effects kit, quicker quarter mile, higher g's on the skid pad, anything?

they will affect the ground when you drive over a really high speed bump or driveway hump.

The create more down-force on the car, allowing for better traction on the tires.

Mostly, just your delivery date. They do generally look much better on any car that was ever offered with them though. I think anytime you are purchasing the "top of the line" model, you better get everything they offer. The resale will be much better when that day comes.

I believe the chin spoiler actually helps downforce/stability at HIGH speeds, but the side skirts and rear fascia are visual effects.
