Blend door...
So I’m assuming my blend door is broken. My refrigerant is fully charged, low side line is ice cold, compressor cycles, fans on, etc. I get no change from cold to hot and hot to cold. The more I drive it the hotter the air gets leading me to believe is broken and closed on the evaporator side. I hear/feel the actuator buzzing when I change temps so I’m assuming it’s not the actuator. I’m still going to take it off and check. Assuming I do the bolt trim thing to avoid pulling the windshield, how big of a job am I up against? I’m decently skilled, but very pissed I have to do this at 32,000 miles on this car. So, how bad is this job from start to finish?

Isn’t it BS? https://youtu.be/NIojjIcHOlw
At least this guy shows what bolts to cut to avoid removing the windshield.

I just did this job on my camaro. The bolts near the windshield are nearly 6” bolts. You can cut the bolts out but it’s not worth the risk imo. Most glass shops charge 150 to pull out and reinstall windshield. Blend door is $28 from Chevy. Chevy quotes 1700-1900 for this job and they replace the evaporator too. The evaporator is $87 from autozone. It’s pretty easy to do yourself, just take it to a shop have ac discharged and have a glass company pull your windshield out they the rest is a breeze. The dash can be removed with the tiebar saving a lot of time.
