Idiot driver rear ended me today...

I was stopped at a red light, and about 30 seconds later, BAM! Some 20 year old female in a toyota tacoma slammed right into my rear... Completely her fault, so I don't have to pay a single penny, but still! I have to wait 2 weeks or more to get it fixed now, so I'm driving around with a half camaro

I am 100% sure she was either texting or do something else of the matter, because there is no way she didn't have enough time to react in those 30 seconds to realize I'm NOT MOVING.

Oh well, to look on the bright side of things, I had a little ding in my bottom left rear of the fender, so now that I'm getting a new one for free....

I am sorry that this happened, but glad that you are walking away OK. I got rear ended by a person in a pickup 12 years ago, and spent 3 months in rehab fixing my back.

You should be driving around in a rental car. I would demand to have my car in the shop immediately and have a rental gassed up and waiting for me at the repair facility.

Yeah, you are 100% entitled to a rental from this moment until it is fixed.

Once you have the report, you can have the repair shop work with the insurance company to work it all out.

Sorry to hear that. When an idiot crashed into my front end, I was going to have them rebuild it with the SS fascia instead of the LT, but they ended up totaling the vehicle outright. Good luck!

What Insurance company you with? I got in a wreck last year (t-boned by an asshat texting and he ran a red after I had crossed 5 lanes of traffic) and USAA had a rental waiting for me inside of 2 hours.

I have state farm insurance, but I'm just going to wait two days then call with the police report, then go to the dealer to get it fixed. Shouldn't take that long, its only the rear bumper and the diffuser that needs to be replaced. The exhaust is still fine.

hey do you guys have an issue with assholes following you and stopping REALY close? I mean, I live in NY, but it gets really excessive in the SS. And it's not like I'm on the ass of the person in front of me, I leave a good amount of space and when I inch up, so does the guy behind me. Sometimes I think assholes want to bump me........ I need a gun.
