Supercharged SS - Thinking about headers?

Hey guys, looking for a few opinions here.

My mods are in my sig, and I told myself I was done as 580hp is quite a lot for a DD. But we all know about how long that mentality lasts...

What kind of HP gain can I expect with a good set of headers and hi-flow cats?
Is 25 or so to the wheels a reasonable expectation?

I've been looking into Kooks, and I hear good things about American Racing. It seems like 1 and 7/8" seems to be the size most go with. Any additional thoughts about size?

I have a few grand set aside on top of the headers, incase I start breaking things with this kind of power

I have run both the ARH and Kooks and both are excellent choices. I first had the ARH 1 7/8 headers and then went Kooks 2" headers. You cant wrong with either and will get the same power gains from each but I can say the Kooks have a lot better fitment than the ARH. The Kooks fit perfectly so Id recommend the Kooks over the ARH but just my .02

I had the opposite experience. Kooks fit fine, ARH fit a bit better. I also like the connector and collector on the ARH better. Plus I'll pay a few bucks to support ARH because of all they do for the community, service, etc.

I went with 2" ARH. They fit very good. Go with 2" right away. In the header test, 2" did better all the way threw the rpm range in torque and horsepower.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.. I went with kooks because I was able to get them coated for the same price as ARH and SS works non coated.. Kooks fit was perfect only needed wife to hold passenger side from bottom while I started bolts because the clearance is less. If your carefull and have a hand you can leave plugs in if not take them out and use the stock gaskets it seems to do better.. Maryland speed seems to be cheapest, and has coupon usually if your a price matcher like me call jegs and summit they will beatem and no ship or tax!

Kooks from Maryland Speed. I went with 1 7/8. Go with the 2" if you want to go above 600 RWHP

I would go with the Kooks 2" stepped to 2.25"
Then wrap them with DEI Titanium headers wrap for maximum scavenging,

I went with Kooks also. I've installed 4 sets on Gen 5 Camaro's, the fitment I great and I didn't remove the plugs.

ARH all the way, theres a reason the OTHER headers HAVE to be coated. The car that just ran 7.6xs@nearly 180 mph uses out of the box ARH 2 inch headers. They support us 5th gen guys 110% and the only 100% american made product i know of, hell even there shirts and caps are made in USA..I think that alone should give ARH the nod..If i can help ypu with a great deal on the ARH let me know.....FYI steped headers do ZERO with closed exhaust. .
