Congrats to GM for creating this beast... I just wish it wasn't so beastly.

I can't believe what I just typed.....
The 1LE is a great car and could easily be made to have the Z/28 look.

Before you buy ANY car take a test drive. It is the only way you'll really know.

Thanks again!

True, but you could take a 1LE and add all the Z/28 goodies minus the LS7 & CCB reasonably. I'd call it a "1LZ" (just buy the ZL1 emblems and reverse them).

Minus the LS7 is where I jump off.

Shno, I know you have agonized over this, I'm sure everyone here would want you to get one. You state that it would be too beastly for you to DD, but like Pete said, you don't know for sure until you drive one, which still puts you in a quandry because that's still another year away and how will you be able to test drive one and then if you deem it is capable of DD will you be able to get on a list to get one and wait that much longer? You've waited a looooooooooooooooong time for this and now....IMO I think you should go for it, and let the cards fall as they may. It appears that if you are in a position to do so, it is an opportunity of a lifetime....

Modern suspension design allows for soft(er) springing and better damping resulting in a not-so-bad daily driver. I daily drove a GT3RS and GT2RS, as long as the road is not full of patches and potholes, it's not bad. Your info shows WA so I'm thinking your roads are at least fairly good.

The NA engine should be a street driving joy with linear powerband and no need for a lot of gear shifts (tq).

Street driving doesn't eat up the Trofeos because they don't get hot enough to get gummy (like on track).

And you have some nice tracks within easy driving distance.

Don't count it out yet. It is entirely possible for the reviews to start coming in regards to a good street ride. You'll probably need some ear plugs though for anything more than a short ride. That's what I did.

But it's not one of those creature comfort parts that's missing in a DD

You can't go wrong there. Best bang for your buck in the Camaro world right now.

I'm sold on the 1LE... just needs the LS7 in there.
