This was on I295, monitored by the city of Hopewell. The officers name is Tommy J Cheeks. He checked the box "you may avoid coming to court only if this box is checked and all instructions on defendants copy are followed.

They told her the new cost are in affect as of July 1st. The officer stated she did not need to appear in court. The cost is $5x12=60, and the rest of the 207 is the additional fines and court fees.

Ernie, you will have to let us know how it turns out. I did see something on the WTOP website just the other day talking about how they had raised the speed limits in areas on July 1, but they had not changed the wreckless limit, pretty crazy they would to that and not tell anybody. Now you could be running your normal cruise speed over the limit and be busted for wreckless. They need to have a better system of notification on law changes.

I will keep you posted. I know she is going to try the driving school method to prevent the points if she can. Hopefully they are kind.
