Alright so it is the moment you all have been waiting for (I think lol) As some of you may remember the last time I put my car on the scale it weighed 3720 with a full tank of gas:

Well since then I did a couple things to remove weight

Remove rear Seat
17lb Braille battery
Coilovers
LSR Toe Rods
Custom front and rear bars

And well after all that the car now weighs 3600 with a full tank of gas.

There are still a couple more things I can remove/do to get it down a little lower.

Sweet! I think that is damn good....if you put 1/4 to half tank in it at the track that should net you another 40 - 50 lbs worth of fuel right? (not sure how much each gallon of gas weighs).

So essentially your "race weight" will be about 3,550 without you in the car.

I'm not sure if you've followed the weight loss thread created by user "Doc" and his SS, but I think his car weighs right about what yours does now.

How much more do you think you can pull out?

Oh yeah...I was thinking since you've done such a good job keeping your first post up to date, that maybe you should add your results there as well.

Yea I keep checking back to his thread every now and then to see if there was something I missed as far as weight loss goes. I can easily loose another 75lbs with removing the pass seat and switching to the caddy spares. I'll leave the pass seat in this weekend when I go and hopefully my track will let me use the spares.

I still can remove:
floor mats - 5lbs
Dust Shields - 3/4lbs

Then I can buy:
DSS 1-piece Al driveshaft - 4lbs
Optic Armour makes a polycarbonate door windshield which saves about 15lbs

So that is another 100lbs right there haha but the driveshaft and windshield aren't in my near future just yet. Wanna see what I run Sunday and decided what needs to be done next.

So for Sunday I can get the car down to (assuming gas is 6lbs/gal) 3486lbs without me in it (and assuming the caddy spares weigh the same as the camaro spare)

Nice job on the weight loss. I will be suing that as a good refer acne for where I am at since we have so many similar mods.

Thanks Mike, I am really excited for Sunday. Can't wait to see what I run with the DRs, skinnies, weight loss and hopefully good D/A. I think my coilovers settled because I noticed today the gap dropped further down so I will have to raise them tomorrow, thinking 3/4in or so.

Just to add fuel to the fuel to the fire... Have you thought about scalloped brake rotors?
