Angry GM GFX MOUNTING HARDWARE?

Does anyone have or know where I cant get the mounting hardware for a gm gfx front spoiler? I checked with the parts department where I bought my car and they said it's not available by itself. I hope I posted this in the right place..any help would be appreciated. thanks

Good luck. This is a problem, with buying just part of the GM GFX kit or trying to repair a single piece. You most likely won't get the hardware. And yes, your parts man is right; it is NOT sold separately.:(

I wish I still had the installation instruction. I think if I recall correctly, it listed the hardware parts that are needed for installtion. If you have time, do a seach in the cosmetics sections or how-to section and you might find it or maybe a member has it and can post or send it to you.

With our without the instructions, I've seen the front installation hardware and it isn't something you can just get together locally. We've considered getting some packages together for you guys, but the hardware is not really able to be replaced without getting it from the factory and of course, they don't sell it separately.

I bought the front splitter from Gene C who posted above and the remainder from a forum member. The odd part about this deal is that each portion of the hardware does come individually bagged and marked and numbered (as in one bag for the rear, one bag for the left and right, one back for the front)

Alot of companies sell their GRD Effects as whole kits. I lost the right rear QTR panel pieces on the interstate somewhere. I wrote them that they fell off, they would not sell just 1 piece of the kit. So it leaves you helpless when you have these that are places on by double sided tape. If the ground effects are not some how in place not by double sided tape, it is a waste of money that you spend trying to make your Camaro look nice or with a finished look.

Be careful when getting splitters on the forum used. We have had quite a few people report they got them painted, etc. and it was a V6 front splitter for a V8 and vice-versa.

Can you post a diagram? I can't imagine the mounting hardware is terribly complex. Maybe it's not available at say, a neighborhood hardware store, but is it like any other GM pieces? Most things seem to together with some kind of pop-rivet or clip these days. Maybe the parts would be similar to other bumper cover hardware, or maybe door panel or other trim hardware....

The GM revised front splitter requires several parts of hardware that are unique. Plastic hangers and some brackets that are riveted to the vehicle

Thanks for the picture. I saw the instructions and the mounting hardware is not something you can get at a hardware store. I wish it was that easy. thanks
