If tuned on E85 with out flex fuel sensor, has there been any issues with E85 not being exactly E85? I hear a lot of the stations very a lot. Not sure if this is true.

I have one gas station within 60 miles that carries E85. I've filled up there about 3 times now with E85 tune. Each time the car runs differently. The last fill it runs like crap on cold start. Almost didn't start. This is why I'm getting the FFS sensor installed so my tune will measure exactly how much Ethanol is in the gas I'm putting in, and adjust accordingly. Just my 2 cents.

Huge differences in Missouri. I have a flex fuel setup and filled up on an almost empty tank and the result was only E62. Pump had a warning sticker that said at least 50% ethanol. Unless you are using quality controlled E85 from someone like VP, which is very expensive, the flex fuel sensor is the only way to go.

Most stations around here are pretty close to e85 but during winter time they could switch to a "winter blend" which is down around e60

Let me just add that when I went to fill up at BP, they had bags over the pump handles. I asked what's up, and they said the tanks were full but were 100% ethanol, and were waiting for their maintenance guy to come and mix it with 93 to get to e85. What are the chances it's not going to be exactly e85 every time? Unlikely!

Here is a fun flex fuel sensor fact

Once installed you can read the exact alcohol % on the aero force scan gauge so no guess what's in the tank
