Awesome. Very happy for you! Been following your build. It's cool to see it come together.

Great to hear the new bullet is working out well. I bet it does sound like beast. What is the step up ratio on the ESS superchargers?

So the cheap throttle body bashers win on this one, good to know. I've been told not to bother with the cheap ones especially on boosted applications. Glad you're up and running can't wait to see what it does.

The G3X is 4.3:1. The units with billet wheels are capable of 75,000 rpm according to my contact at ESS. I believe I'm spinning this one around 65,000 with current pulley combo.

The other ESS blower may have different gearing. I'd have to refer you to ESS on that.

Any luck resolving your belt issue?

Well SEP does not provide tuning advice, (liability?) however, I have heard that if I turn the codes off, it wont trip Reduced Engine Power mode. Ted advised against this, so during the tuning process I wont be using this TB.

When we are finished tuning I might attempt to figure it out. The TPS control unit inside this throttle body is from a 2009 Corvette, and I'm sure there are plenty of boosted 09 vettes. Let's call it To Be Determined...

I think they have problems under boost with the plate fluttering which is what trips the codes. I don't really know just something i remember reading.

But it's black steve..... duh everyone knows black TBs are worth 40hp....

Nah jk, my intake has a 102 opening, so i figured what the hell. It was $275. Of course now I see that money was most likely better off used to start a batch of charcoal, but... live and learn.

More tuning tonight. Hopefully I can finish off the break in miles, change the oil and hit the dyno next week.

125 miles left on the break in. I'm working nights this week, so I should have time during the day to log those miles, change the oil and finish up the MAF tune to get it on the dyno sometime this week.

Going to the same Dynojet I always use.

I've only tuned up to 5500 so far on the 95mm pulley, 12 psi. The butt dyno says she is a ripper.

The BMR adj toe and adj trailing arms, trailing arm bushings, and cradle bushings, along with new MT ET Rs 305/45/18 are hooking at 40mph.

I'm guessing it'll make 1000whp and 900wtq. It feels absolutely awesome.

I'll bring my GoPro for some dyno vids. Hope they have an opening for self tune session.

Here's a shitty cell phone rip. (5500 only, 95mm pulley still)12psi

Log showed 33-104mph

90mm just installed for a couple more psi

Very nice! You're making me even more excited for my build. I'm still waiting for the engine. I should have it by the end of the month, maybe early July. I am hoping with around 15lbs via twins on E85 that I will see 1000+ whp. Hopefully the torque will be just nasty!! One reason I went with a 427. Did you have any other issues with yours?

Sorry I just noticed this. I just briefly read about the 2200r. They said it makes up to 1200hp. Not sure if thats whp or crank, but seems pretty similar. It takes oil feed/return lines, so its using engine oil to cool. The G series are self lubed.

I would say the G3X is a perfectly suited blower for 900-1000whp on a stock LS3 motor. No meth needed.

I have not modified the belt routing from the ESS Tuning kit. It comes 10 rib with a really good belt wrap design. Besides the design and the 10 rib, the blowers themselves are easier to spin. That seems to generate less heat and lower IATs.

On the 427 motor with good heads, the G3X will probably be a tad too small. So far this motor is just eating up the boost. They are currently building a clockwise G4 with a billet wheel for me to test.

Nope, just the ac bracket needing to be clearanced. I dont think you'll have a problem meeting your goals.
