Putting Some Torque Numbers On A Stick Shift Launch!

Here's a link to my page on analyzing a stick shift launch and clutch tuning in general... https://grannys.tripod.com/clutchtuning.html

Interesting. I've heard of your product before but never read about it. There is quite a bit of information there I could go without knowing, but I can see how it would take the stupid out of the clutch release. It seems like the tuning process could take a while to work out.

Got any vids of your tamer in action? I can't hit your other websites from work, flagged.

The tuning process on the above link is about not leaving anything on the table. If launch is your only concern, tuning process is pretty straight forward.

Here's direct links to the ClutchTamer/Hitmaster pages...

Really enjoyed this read. I preach and practice the preload and clutch slip launch, and using the throttle rather than no lift shifts - same ideal, smooth the torque delivery, maximize the potential energy you store with launch RPM and on shift recovery, and probably most importantly - don't break stuff.

I really like doing it "the hard way" - but I'd be interested in experimenting with a Clutch Tamer some day.

Again - great read, appreciate the math to really spell out the dynamic shock loads.
