IMO they are both good systems .... if you got the money to do whatever, then Magnaflow would be a good choice. If you on a tight budget, the Flowmaster AMT would be the way to go especially for the price they offer for a 3 inch catback. I have the Flowmaster catback and Im very happy with it. Just my little say so to help out.

Both are great choices and perform exceptionally well.. but Im gonna agree with Snoop on pricing. If you are looking to save a little bit on the wallet and still get a good agressive sound, then the Flowmaster AMTs are the way to go.
I'm getting my FMs catback installed tomorrow, cant wait!!

i have magnaflow 3" comp series. it's stainless - which was one reason i chose it. idk if flowmaster are stainless. if they are not, the stainless will last much, much longer - and therefore save you money in the long run.

Ive had both.. With my 1 7/8" long tubes I ended up going with a magnaflow to quiet it down alot. But the flowmaster sounds leaps and bounds better IMO.

I've had both as well. My muffler guy talked me into replacing my Flowmasters with Magnaflows 'cause he said that they would sound better. Now, I must admit the Magnaflow's exhaust note is a little sweeter but for me they are not nearly loud enough. Needless to say, I will be heading back to the shop on Monday to have my Flowmasters put back on. Oh, by the way, he put on the Street series mufflers so perhaps the Comp series would have floated my boat. The problem is it looks like a muffler delete which doesn't fly here in California and I don't want any issues!

Ridindirty -
Thank you for considering the Flowmaster mufflers for your Camaro. To answer some of the questions in the thread, the American Thunder series for the 2010 Camaro is Stainless Steel, and comes with the full Flowmaster 10 year warranty. The sound is aggessive and popular, and there is a measurable increase in power and performance. You can see the (and hear) the install and dyno run of our American Thunder series in this video from Power TV. |
