I kinda went nuts with mods this spring. It's a long list that starts with the motor, goes through the tranny (torque converter), and ends with some suspension mods. It is supposed to be on the dyno this weekend for tuning. Updates will be in my car journal soon. |

I didn't have problems tucking the wires into the headliner. You can tell it's glued down (or up? ha) But there was enough room.
Besides which, the plug was not in the headliner or the overhead console, it was outside the headliner. Covered by a plastic cover between the mirror and the headliner. |

That is correct. It's a tight fit, but it all DID fit. otoh, the headliner has a nice curl to it by the windshield, so the wire that you run from the mirror to the pillar falls in and stays in. I have done LOTS of speaker phone kits, so I have mounted alot of microphones up there. On most cars, it is a major PITA to get a wire to stay in the headliner. they always want to fall out.

Dude your pictures rock! Every time I had a question I found a picture to answer it. I just ordered my gentex mirror and ofer harness and camera today. If you hadn't been so thorough I would have planned to pay someone else to install it. I have no doubt this will take no time at all thanks to you!!!!

Thanks for this write up...the only thing I might do differently is use heat shrink tubes on the video/power connections....looks pretty straight forward....

This camera has really come in handy. When i back in to my garage, I line up one of the index lines on my camera with the shelf on my workbench. I don't have to creep along anymore waiting for the warning tones to increase.

Awesome Installation!
Great installation guide. Excellent pictures and instruction. You mentioned total price for all necessary equipment at $350. The best price I can find is $649. Can't find a lower price.
